How To Build A Productive Remote Team

FORMAT - 1/2 Day Foundations  Seminar + 4 Deep Dive Sessions

Building A Productive Remote Team

It's ok to be a manager of a remote team, but it's even better to be a manager of a productive remote team.

Unfortunately a cohesive team isn't necessarily a productive team.

More needs to be in place to have your remote team ticking over like the finely tuned engine of a high performance luxury car, however well they get on.

To do that you need to create a an environment of productive performance and a culture of effectiveness and efficiency.

And then you'll have to nurture that to sustain the progress and results your remote team will undoubtedly achieve.

In "How To Build A Productive Remote Team", you'll discover how to create the right environment for your remote team members to get and stay engaged and then to thrive in achieving the results you want them to.

You'll discover what motivates your team (spoiler alert - it's not you!).

Following the model of our other seminars, you'll attend a half day session to set you up for creating the right environment for your team.

Then you'll attend deep dive session a week for four weeks to provide you with more effective behaviours to help you guide your remote team to even higher levels of productivity.

Topics covered include:

  • Principles of peak performance.
  • Understanding the neuroscience of productivity.
  • Developing a coaching mindset to get the best out of people.
  • What motivates people to give of their best (and it isn't what you probably think!).
  • Team productivity strategies.
  • How to promote and develop strong collaboration between people who've never met.
  • The importance of communication (including what to say, how often and when).
  • How to track your team's performance.
  • The importance of building trust.
  • How to effectively delegate.
  • The principle of "Leader as Servant" and how it applies to remote teams.

Productivity Coaching

FORMAT - 45 Minute Zoom Sessions As Required

Remote Team Leadership Coaching

With so much going on in our lives, both with work and at home, it is very easy for our productivity to drop off as we get distracted from the important things in our lives.  Often we can course correct ourselves, but sometimes getting a helping hand or a nudge in the right direction from someone else is all we need.

If you work remotely then Personal Productivity Coaching is going to be useful for you if you struggle with any of the following:

  • Difficulty focusing attention on anything for longer than a few minutes (or even seconds) which means work quality struggles to rise above the superficial.
  • Feelings of dread about doing your work because of the sheer volume of things that need to be done making work a source of suffering instead of a source of satisfaction.
  • Challenges making decisions on what to do when there are so many options of things that need to be done leaving you paralysed and stuck in a state of learned helplessness.
  • Routinely ticking off trivial, simple and shallow tasks from a to do list at the expense of deeper, meaningful and much more important work.
  • Regularly leaving things to the last moment meaning vital work is rushed, ill thought through and often far below the standard you are capable of producing.
  • Easily distracted by the numerous demands on your time meaning you are too thinly stretched and unable to produce your best work.
  • Swamped by the huge volume of e mails that bombard your inbox every single hour.
  • Completely exhausted at the end of long and busy days without seeing much meaningful progress despite the effort you have put in at work.
  • Needing to spend a considerable amount of unrecognised and unrewarded personal time on your work outside of what is considered “normal working hours” just to keep up.
  • And perhaps worryingly for your health and well being,  allowing all of the above to build up to the level where you are overwhelmed, stressed, anxious and perhaps even depressed!

We firmly believe that with the right coaching anyone can overcome these problems and get back to a productive, effective and efficient workflow.

Using effective coaching principles and strategies gleaned from over 20 years of coaching and being coached, Michael will work with you to help you find solutions to any productivity challenges you face.

"

"In terms of comparing my efficiency and effectiveness before the coaching, it’s like the difference between night and day.   Of all the great things that have come out of this coaching, the biggest benefit has been how to successfully deal with the huge volume of e mail so now I'm in control of my inbox."
